Our students range from elementary school age to high school, with class sizes as small as individual, one-on-one arrangements to groups of 16 students. Our curriculum encourages teachers to use their individuality and creativity by providing an extensive supply of teaching materials, including games, handouts, reference books and other activities. Our staff has over 20 years of teaching experience, and a teacher trainer is on duty everyday to share ideas. Monthly workshops provide the teachers with the opportunity to develop professionally by exchanging views on teaching methods and techniques. Teachers will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, such as creating and editing homework assignments and tests.

Being an American-managed language center, we feel we better understand the challenges foreign teachers face in Taiwan.

Many of our students have found success outside the classroom. Every year, we have students who excel in various speech contests, ranging from school-wide to nationwide competitions. Many have passed the beginner and intermediate levels of the GEPT, the government-administered English test designed for junior and senior high graduates. Other students have tested into special English-language programs offered by various local junior and senior high schools. Previous students now study in high schools in England and America, while others major in language studies at Taiwan universities or attend institutions overseas.

Previous teachers have traveled all across Southeast Asia during their vacation periods. Many have gone onto education careers, as well as employment within the public and private sectors. They have often pointed out how their experiences in Taiwan have been important factors in gaining the positions they have applied for.

• Native English speaker
• Bachelor's degree or a college diploma with a TESOL/TESL certificate
• At least a 12-month commitment
