![]() | Public School Positions In Korea The education ministry of ULSAN Welcome to Ulsan Metropolitan City 144 Positions Type of Students : Elementary School, Middle School student Working hours a week: within 22 hours Working days a week : Mon - Friday Payment :2.0~2.8million won Operating hours :8:30a.m~4:30p.m (included lunch break, class preparation, break times etc..) Overtime payment: 20000won per hour Class size: within 35 students Starting date : September 1st , 2008 Type of Housing: Single accommodation(fully-furnished), walking distance from the school Severance (equal to 1month's salary) Vacation: Paid 2 weeks + National holidays+ Sat+Sun Health Insurance: 50% Air fare : Provided *set-up curriculum and teachers guide provided A. Duties • To conduct English conversation classes for Korean teachers and students. • To prepare teaching materials for English language education To assist with activities related to English language education and other extracurricular activities • To assist Korean teachers with their English classes and/of jointly conduct English classes • To perform other duties as specified by the host POE B. Contract Period • The employment period shall be about 52 weeks(1 year) • The start date of the contract will coincide with the first Monday after completion of an unpaid 10days orientation conducted by the EPIK office. • Employees shall work 8hours day, 5 days per week, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Korean national holidays(About 14days). • Total instructional hours will now exceed 22hours per week. C. Placement • Participants will work at schools, training centers, and/or any other educational institution located within the boundaries of the host POE. Eligibility •Be a citizen of a country where English is the primary language. •Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree •Be mentally and physically healthy •Have a good command of the English language •Have the ability and willingness to adapt to Korean Culture and living Required Documents A Completed EPIK Application Form (including a passport size photo) A personal essay Personal medical assessment Official medical report 2 recommendation letters (from a professor or a former employer) A copy of your diploma * show the original diploma at the Korea Consulate/Embassy Two Original sealed transcripts * 1 sealed transcript sent directly from the university to the EPIK office, 1sealed transcript to take with you to the Korean Consulate/Embassy when you apply for the E2visa. Criminal record check Copy of passport photo page (If applicable) Copies of certification (teacher certification, TESOL,etc) (If applicable) Proof of teaching/work experience Copy of citizenship or a copy of legal residence certificate(for Korean nationals) If English is not your first language (born in a non-English speaking country), then you must be able to provide proof of English education beginning from junior high school level.
