![]() | Guest English Teacher Positions - S. Korea Guest English Teachers (GETs) work in public schools alongside regular Korean teachers of English. Their role is to help plan and execute language lessons to students in primary and secondary schools as part of the Korean Government’s goal to promote and strengthen English language education. Under the guidance of the GET supervisor, the guest teacher will: - Conduct English conversation classes with students and teachers - Assist Korean teachers with their English classes and/or jointly conduct classes - Prepare teaching materials and activities - Assist with activities related to English education (judge speech contests, record listening activities for listening comprehension tests, participate in English camps, etc) Given the job expectations, candidates should have a strong sense of creativity and motivation and should enjoy working with young children. Successful applicants are expected to focus on the development of oral communication skills using interactive teaching methods and should be good in a team environment. GETs work regular public school hours and truly become part of the school faculty.
