Teaching in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture in Central Japan

Small, foreign-owned English conversation school for children is looking for 4-year university graduates with a desire to embrace the Japanese culture. ONLY enthusiastic, flexible NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS who are responsible self-starters and are interested in teaching children from 2 to 10 years of age need apply.

Start: Early August 2008

JOB DUTIES: 25-30 teaching hours plus participation in seasonal school outings and camps.

Required
  • Experience working with young children
  • 4-year university/college degree
  • Native English Speaker
  • Overseas experience (travel/teaching) preferred
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Independent, yet team-oriented personality
Benefits
  • Salary: 250,000 yen/month plus performance-based bonus at end of contract
  • 5 weeks paid vacation
  • Fully furnished apartment within walking distance of the main school

  • convenient location between Tokyo and Osaka (less than 1 hour to Nagoya), with beaches of Atsumi Peninsula less than an hour to the South and the mountains of the Japanese Alps 3 hours to the North.
