![]() | Hi I'm new here and desperate for help. I have a research paper due on thursday in a TESL grad program and I am having a very difficult time finding info. The topic seems a bit limited to me and is literally :"what makes a good English as a second Language teacher " Can anyone point me toward a website that will have journals or anything I can use as a source for this asap? Things have been discussed such as kindness, using humor, patience, coming prepared, starting and ending class on time, not rushing class , speaking at a natural speed, not being intimidating or pressuring, etc. Thank you for any much needed assistance. ![]() | Re: Resources for paper topic "what makes a good English as a second language teacher thanks so much for those ideas. The paper has to be 4-6 pages in apa form. I need to use references. Does anyone know any journals or info I can access online quickly w/o sending away for something? Thanks again, Joy ![]() |

I think that's what your assisgnment is after. Professional references rather than website references, unless of course it's from an authority website like wikipedia.

![]() | Re: Resources for paper topic "what makes a good English as a second language teacher I would like to add to English Grammar Man's good points: A teacher who is highly motivated to do his or her best regardless, because the chances are the salary will not be the motivating factor. A teacher who cares about getting results. A teacher who loves communicating and sharing with others. Organised, observant, sensitive to others but not too over-sensitive him or herself! Boy teachers should be paid more, they are special people!
