![]() | Play without an object is only used with children. Often in my ESL classes, my adult students use the word "play" when describing how their recent weekend was. Example: - Can Jimmy come out and play?Adults "have fun" or "relax" or "enjoy themselves" or "hang out / around" or "go". Example: - I had a lot of fun when I was a student.NOTE: The word "enjoy" is not really very popular in English. We prefer "like". Example: - I enjoy studying English. -> I like studying English.
