Lesson: Made of / Made by

This table is made by wood. <- incorrect grammar!

• We use "made by" when we are talking about the person or company that made something.
  Eg: Those bookshelves were made by my brother.
  However, a more natural way of saying this would be: My brother made those bookshelves.

• When we talk about the material used to make something, we say "made of".
  Eg: That chair is made of plastic.
