![]() | "I challenged to learn compter programming." This is a common mistake amongst non-native English speakers. They use the word "challenge" in the wrong context. The English word "challenge" is not the same as the Japanese expression "challenge suru". We use "challenge" when we invite someone to compete against us in a fight or match. We use "try" in sentences like: I tried to learn Chinese.
