![]() | ESL Lesson Ideas - Current Events in Asia and Education Here are three active blogs ...updated 4-6 times daily, all written by the same guy, who according to his bio spent some 20 years teaching ESL in Asia - Japan, China, Russia.... The blogs are PanAsianBiz - about business/politics/culture in the Asian region RisingSunOfNihon - about business/politics/culture in Japan TheBizOfKnowledge - about education, school rankings, etc... Each blog is about 150-200 words long and written at the high beginner to intermediate level with splashes of advanced material... The blog entries invariably end with a question that can lead to a discussion in an ESL group/class using vocabulary from the blog entry...which is always a current event. Perhaps the blogs could be used in a pinch or regularly as openers or material for ESL classes. |
