![]() | Consonant Assimilation Could someone provide me with a linking exercise which will help me to practice consonant assimilation which occurs with combinations such as 'don't know', where /t/ is elided. I find this really difficult. |

![]() | Hello cubix. Am not sure of your request. Can you please explain yourself a little more and perhaps give an example? Do you want a list of sentences where the "t" is elided? Or where the ' replaces a vowel. Eg:

![]() | Consonant Assimilation I am looking for some linking exercises that I can work on to help me to understand consonant assimilation. I am particularly having difficulty with combinations such as 'don't know' where /t/ is elided. I want the concept of consonant assimilation explained to me in easy stages and would like some exercises to complete so as I can ensure that I fully understand elision. |
