Angry Taipei Teaching Team aka Cosmos

Keep away from this recruiter! They are really bad. My friends and I were recruited by them and they stuffed us around big time. The accommodation was lousy and dirty. I was given 2 part-time jobs totalling 12 hours a week. Their contract promised minimum NT$55000.

Their staff have also changed numerous times whilst I was working for them. Surely this is a sign that the staff too aren't happy about the management.

I would suggest going to Taiwan on your own and looking for an ESL job. It's not that hard you know.

Yeh, but some English teachers just don't feel comfortable going to a new country without something lined up. As a 22 y/o fresh out of Uni, you can imagine this would be quite nerve racking.

Yes, stay away from Cosmos. They are full of promises and don't deliver what's in the contract. I stayed 1 months then left them as they wanted me to travel to 3 different locations and I lost so much weight during this 1 month. They painted such a rosy picture before I arrive to Taiwan.

By all means check out the website if you want to hear some dubious fiction. Forget about completing their contract. They won't return that (illegal) deposit and they won't pay you your last month's salary once you leave Taiwan. Nor will they respond in any way to any of your emails.
