![]() | Stay away from Supreme Educational Group (Taiwan) I just want to warn everyone who's planning to use the services of this leech-kind of business to look elsewhere. The general advice is: Don't use a recruiter or work for chain schools if you can avoid it. You must know that ALL recruiters in Taiwan take a chunk of your salary every month. The rule is that private and Government schools offer the Agent $70,000-75,000 but you'll receive only $50,000 to 65,000 and in many instances well below that (as Supreme Educational Group has proven to me). Regarding Supreme Educational Group, where can I start:
Goodbye Taiwan! ![]() |

| Employer ![]() | forged contracts? Hi gerard It sounds like these guys are real bad. To forge a contract is though a really serious thing; hard to believe people would get away with it. Did you try to do anything about it? Skydive 0918003514 Last edited by gfell; Thu 10-Aug-06 at 04:28 PM. |

![]() | Supreme Educational Group - BEWARE Thought I would add this, something I wrote for Buxiban.com My experience with Supreme Educational Group, run by Jurene Su and Bill Wong, is as follows: When I arrived in Taiwan, having signed a contract from overseas, I was told that the school I was working at (Sacred Heart Elementary School in Keelung) did not have enough teaching positions in their language school through which ARCs and work permits were filtered. Mine were to come through a buxiban in Taipei, for which I was to pay 5000 NT a month. A visit from an inspector, which about ten staff members had to suddenly leave their classrooms and hide from in the adjacent dorm, indicated that I was not alone in working at the school illegally. I paid 15,000 NT over three months in service charges and another 15,000 NT over three months to be returned only if I renewed the contract for another year, both of which I later discovered are illegal. After first being told that I was not going to be able to receive health insurance, I found out in December that I would be paying over 700 NT a month, retroactively from October, for a health insurance card that I did not receive until February. Many of the teachers that Supreme brought to the school were from overseas and new to Taiwan, a fact I feel they exploit, for anybody with experience in teaching and living in Taiwan would not consent to such a raw deal. When I made a complaint at the Council of Labor the inspector discovered that Supreme is not licensed as an agency and therefore not in a position to act as one. ![]() | Re: Supreme Educational Group - BEWARE If the going gets tough the tough one's get going! That's how I see myself, after my teaching career in Taiwan was forced to an end by no-one else than the 'innocent' Jurene of Supreme Educational Group. She does not do anything 'wrong' it is the foreign teachers that bring it on themselves. Well, as my name indicates: The bug stops here! I, or shall I say 'us' - another group of unhappy foreign teachers are not going to post a warning to other foreign teachers, but we are going to inform the parents (who are paying a lot of money), why so many teachers are leaving the schools where she is the so called 'agent'. So, if any of you wants to add your voice to our statement of "THE BUG STOPS HERE". Please feel free to contact me with your story, then we can give the parents more detail. Thanks. |

I hope you don't think that all NZ citizens are as unscrupulous. Sounds like this one is the apple that makes the barrel rotten in your eyes though, and on behalf of my great country, I apologise. Try "rotten egging" the office and letting them know it was you! Hope whatever you do next works out for you, Peace y'all, ![]()
