![]() | LOL, I'm not the only teacher that place left a nasty taste in her mouth. One teacher ran after 3 months. And what a dump of an apartment too. The considerate neighbors wouldn't even bother to take their trash to the curb. They just let it pile up in the hallway. Sheezzz, what a nasty place to be! Sammi is so zapped she told me more that once that she could read my mind. Give me a break. Typical Korean? or just another nasty hogwan director? When I told her I was not going to renew the contract she started screaming at me, kicking the students chairs and desks FIRED ME! and actually went to another hogwan to talk to the teacher there. She accused him of talking me into leaving. That hogwan refused to let her speak to him. They already knew her reputation. I posted here as a warning to others about the things I endured at that hogwan, if it's good for you then that's your business and I really don't care. |

![]() | Re: Sammi English School - Tongyeong South Korea I suspect you have problems with Korea in general--they're big on respect here, and you clearly don't have any. And I thank you for that. Had you not portrayed yourself as a bitter, crazy person, I may have taken you seriously and not taken the job at Sammi's School. Fortunately, you did, and I've now been here six months. Happily. I work six hours a day (at one school), teach strictly 1-on-1 private lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and work absolutely no weekends. I always get paid on time, live in a GIANT apartment on the water (i.e., with my girlfriend), and if there's ever a problem, it's quickly taken care of. And there has never been amold problem (if you're going to make fun of others writing errors, I suggest you do a little editing yourself), though we do tend to clean up after ourselves, which may help. And in response to your nonsensical claim that Sammi said she could read people's minds, we both know you're taking what she said completely out of context (once again demonstrating that this is nothing more than some sad person's attempt to drag another's name through the mud). Sammi once said something similar to me, and all she meant by it was that she was good at reading people (an important characteristic for anyone running a business)--not that she was a psychic, as you've implied. If anyone would like to know the truth about Tongyeong or Sammi's English School, you're more than welcome to email me at joshm26@gmail.com. |
