![]() | Quzhou, Zhejiang I am writing about the Quzhou, Zhejiang summer camp program. I wouldn't black list it ! but, I would certainly be cautious of going to that camp or dealing with the organizers. I certainly wouldn't do it again! I just returned from two weeks there, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. First of all, After signing a contract and forwarding it back to them, I scheduled another summer camp in Jiangsu province two days after the ending date of the one in Quzhou. Already bought my train tickets and all set for the two camps. Then, at the last minute, Quzhou school, (qzqiaoyou.com) changed their dates for this summer camp. I ended up losing the other summer camp teaching position because of the date change. The recruiter in Shanghai,(Vickey) I went through, was helpful up until she left Quzhou & went back to Shanghai, then she didn't really care about her teachers she recruited. (she got her money for recruiting). I couldn't get her to help when I needed her. The representatives, for the school in Quzhou, lie to you changed the teaching hours for teaching. instead of 4 hrs. per day, two in the morning & two in the afternoon. It was changed to 3 in the morning, and 3 in the evening. It wasn't organized, and the transportation to the school twice a day, 30 minutes away each trip, was done with the city buses (un-air conditioned). It was hot and humid, and I was sweating immensely as I arrived at the school each day. Although the pay was fair, and they did pay, they didn't provide enough compensation for meals! Think twice before going to Quzhou, Zhejiang. |
