![]() | Hi Just to warn others of Los Naranjos Academy. They lure people in from mainly the USA and then trap them when they get there. There is a bond that takes at least 3 weeks or more to finish so by that point you dont have any money and feel like you are stuck with that academy. You are told that on average you will have 20 hours per week this is not correct as you if your lucky wil get 14 hours and then you have to travel by bike, train or bus to all the homes of your clients, in which your given amap with the dot to mark the location of the house. They advertise for native english teachers but have spanish people teaching the children very bad english....the manager cannot speak much english so the communication is none existent. You have accomodation on arrival but this is situated in the middle of nowhere and a good 15 mins bike ride or 35 min walk to the train station.....at least it as one of them.....they say it is 10 mins from the beach but thats a lie...its 30 -45 mins bike ride....you need a bike to get around which you have to buy. Be very careful when applying for this academy if you like biking and living in the middle of nowhere (orange trees all around) then you will be ok but your expecting a lovely place with everything within walking distances then forget it. If you want to teach then dont get a job here if you want to babysit then it is ideal. Just beaware......I managed to get out and move on but there are many people that cant |
