![]() | Avoid JEL in Ulsan at all costs This is just a quick note to let anyone thinking of applying to JEL in Ulsan that it is a horrible school to work for and not worth your time. My boyfriend and I worked for the company for a year and constantly had battles with the owner over vacation days, sick days, and getting paid on time. In the end we had to fight a major legal battle in order to get our final pay and bonus. The other four foreign teachers all had major problems with the owner, so it is not a school to work for. However, we loved Korea ![]() |

![]() | I also would like to reiterate here. As of the last year and a half the school has gone into financial ruin. See my post. Do not work at JEL in Mugeo Dong or in Beum Sa. They pay the teachers late, and your last pay won't come, unless like the above party mentioned, you are prepared for a legal battle. I worked my last month for nothing and didn't get my bonus. They are currently looking for teachers. Always talk to the foreign staff before taking a job, review the contract, and check the internet. Don't let happen to you what has happened to so many others. And yes, I would like to add too, that I love Korea! But it ain't a good place when you are working without pay, take my word for it! |
