Hello starr,

Have I got good news for you? As you are in Canada, you can apply for a working holiday visa to teach in Japan. No degree is required. Danielle posted a topic on this. Just do a search on this forum for "working holiday visa" and you can then find the thread.

No degree is required either to teach in China. You have so many options open. Where is it exactly you don't know where to start?

First try and decide how long and when you want to go overseas.

Starr. There are some good ESL courses you can do. They wont be a waste of time. Since you are 18, I would recommend doing such a course to build your confidence in the classroom.

TEFL Course

Just make sure you do a TEFL Course that is recognised. Anyone can sell TEFL courses, however, it doesn't mean it's any good. I would only do a TEFL course that has been around a while and has a good reputation.
