![]() | Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? Hi, I'm interested in knowing which TEFL or CELTA course you took to get your certification, and whether or not you would recommend others (by posting your comments) to attend the same school. I would also like to see general comments posted to this poll. Thanks! BAM101 |

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? Oops... I neglected to allow for multiple answers in the poll to accommodate the choice of school AND the questions about having or not having a college degree, or whether you have CELTA/TEFL certification and it looks like the poll cannot be edited. Sorry about that... |

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? I did Bridge-Linguatec online TEFL after getting my master's degree. It's a good program and not expensive. From my experience with the online course, I'd guess the classroom TEFL would be worthwhile. |

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? I've got a CELTA in Recife, Brazil. Soon after that, the FTBE course for teaching business. I also have a TESL from York in Toronto. I particularly loved CELTA!! ![]() |

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? I personally trained at both certificate and diploma level with Trinity College London | TESOL The courses are well recognised in the UK and were both excellent. I particularly appreciated the teaching practice element of the courses.

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? I did my training at INTESOL Spain, which is a good choice for anyone wanting to teach in Europe. It provided a lot of basics in theory. The teaching practice was the most invaluable part. Trial by fire.

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? What about TESOL qualifications in public funded colleges and universities? I live in Australia and did both my Certificate IV and Graduate Certificate in TESOL at a state run college/university. This is the most common way to get qualified here, as, being state recognized these certificates are obviously the most reliable way to get a job in an Australian college/school afterwards. |

![]() | Re: Which TEFL/CELTA course did you take? I did mine by distance education, by mail, from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatchewan, Canada. I would recommend it. I was working at the time and feel it might be more difficult to get everything out of the course if you have no experience teaching ESL first. It took me three years, one semester at a time. I am certified by TESL Canada as meeting their requirements. TESL Canada Are Canadian qualifications accepted overseas? |
