Hmmm...

I'm not averse to doing my own legwork, my concern has been more the safety and legitimacy issues. I've looked at the volunteer organisations and you have to pay quite a substantial amount of money. On the one hand I like the idea because it feels safer and legit (there is an induction, you are with other teachers, they sort out accommodation etc etc - good for a first timer), but on the other it's an exorbitant cost and I'm no millionaire. I would like to find my own placement, but I don't want to end up in the middle of woop woop having been duped or in really bad circumstances.
