![]() | Other things we teach In our course of teaching, we often find ourselves both learning and teachings things we never expected. As part of any exchange many keep diaries and learn along the way. Has anyone ever documents or kept a type of " dictionary" of common phrases, dos and dont's and real things to know to make the living possible in other countries? ![]() | Re: Other things we teach While not as a teacher, when I travelled to Germany as a student, I kept a diary of all of my experiences. Funnily enough it is the differences in everyday life that I remember most, more than the actual places I visited or people I met. Going through the diary helps me remember how different it "felt" to live there and be immersed in a different culture, and how much that we take for granted as being so easy to do. ![]() | Re: Other things we teach "Life always teaches new things" and "A person throughtout his/her life remains a student". Going abroad to teach or staying in one's own country and teaching or any doing activity teaches you new things. It is very important that a person is flexible enough to take the learning experience and keep his eyes and ears open. I do note certain selective things while travelling abroad as its a experience that one can remember throughout the whole life. |
