![]() | Medications I have one last question for tonight. I have a medical condition which requires me to see a doctor every 3-6 months. As well, I have daily medications that are necessary for my health. I talked to my doctor and was told that as long as I had my medications for the length of a teaching job I'd be ok, but I'm worried that some countries wouldn't let me bring them in. Also, if I lost my medications would they be available to me from that country? If you take medication too, what countries allowed you to take them in? My medications are neither narcotics nor stimulants. What have been your experiences? Thanks so much!Last edited by gfell; Fri 05-Jan-07 at 01:14 PM. |

![]() | Bringing in medications to the country Have had no problems bringing medications into most countries around the world. I have travelled throughout most of Asia and a few countries in Europe. Medication is a common thing in life - many people take them. If countries started banning visitors with medication, then the number of people travelling would drop off big time. Heck, I've even had my mum send me medication in the post without any issues. Just got her to write "prescription medicine" on the parcel. You have nothing to worry about. |

![]() | Re: Medications Yes I would agree, I have never had an issuse with medication. One thing to remember is to make sure it is in a prescription bottle, putting it in a container that is not the original bottle might pose some questions. |

![]() | Re: Medications Just to add - within US or UK I have not found any major problems carrying medicines. Recently at both the places the rules are more strict but a valid prescription with the medicines is enough. You can carry a letter from your doctor explaining the reason for the medication and it would be more than enough. Regarding getting the same medicines in other countries - mostly you do get all the medicines (names might be different) or you can surely get them mailed to you without any issues. |
