Looking for information on a School in Beijing

Hi all,

I've recently been offered a teaching position with Beijing Bacui Bilingual School and am trying to find out as much information as possible on the school before I fly over and commit myself.

Does anybody here know anything about the school? Like is it a reputable school? Do they treat foreign teachers well? Is it in a nice part of the city? Any information at all would be welcomed!

Don't know much about schools in Beijing, but I suggest you ask the administrators plenty of questions. First ones should be for a copy of the contract and about the residence permit and Foreign Experts Certificate (if they answer with "Don't worry about it," move on). Be sure to ask for email addresses of current teachers.

Any idea where in Beijing it is? I at least know some of the areas.

The address is 1 Bacui Road, Pingfang, Chaoyang District, Beijing. I think its near the 5th East ring road but not sure.

So far I've been offered a position teaching Business subjects for 20-22 periods a week at IGCSE level in the international section of the school. I've been told that the school will be responsible for the cost of the visa, residence permit, expert card and physical exam. The package they've offered seems quite good and I'm to receive a copy of the contract on Monday.

Everything about the position seems good but I'm just worried if its too good to be true. Have asked a lot of questions but am still looking for someone not associated with the school to verify it.
