   | Laos Hi folks, I'm thinking of going to Laos next year for about 6 months to teach there but I find there's a lack of sites and info about doing so. Does anyone have a link that I can look at, or even better, a contact there? Thanks in advance and happy National day to all those in China.

| Re: Laos Well, Laos is off the beaten track for ESL. I know there are a few foreign teachers there, but they're few and far between. Laos appears to be like China was about 30 years ago in terms of development and I was a little young to be "in" on that so maybe Laos is my chance to go and get in on the groundfloor so to speak. It's still untouched and it appeals to my "roughing it" side so I thought that, if possible, I'll go and give it a go for 6 months and if I liked it, stay there for a year or 2. I've been in China for 5 years now and the novelty has worn off. Maybe if I went elsewhere within China it'd be different but just for now, Laos is the way I'd like to go. Thanks for your interest.

| Re: Laos Interesting! I saw in one cable program wherein foreigners are now teaching English lessons to some children in Laos. This is such a good opportunity for you.
