| Re: International Marriages I guess it is more the big cities, I have only met one girl in Shanghai who would not like to marry a laowai. Some of them are quite obsessed by the idea. It has almost become a fad. |

| Re: International Marriages A lot of my female students "say" they'd like to marry a foreigner or even that they love me....but I merely tell them that they're in love with an idea. Really, many of the young ones here have no concept of love and just romanticise. They have no idea of the problems involved and only see themselves either being out of China or living a life of relative comfort while in China, but always with the goal of travelling abroad one day. It's not as you think Sam........I have taught thousands of such people of the years and it's always the same.
