![]() | How exactly is Native english speaker defined? I've been wondering about this for a while and now that I'm thinking of finding a job in Asia, I actually need an answer to this. After browsing around on google, it seems that there is no clear definition. Well this is my case: I am Chinese but came to Canada since I was a child and was pretty much raised in a pure english environment. So would I count as a native speaker while job hunting back in China? Teaching seems to be the only plausible way for me to return back there with a Philosophy degree. |

Discrimination is rather widespread within the ESL industry unfortunately.
