"The more provincial the place is where you are located, the less salary you'll get, but the living costs are low too. Cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are more expensive to live in, but you earn more too, so it's all relative. ![]() | Re: Expected salary Pretty much that's the same in most countries. City jobs pay more because of the higher costs in living. However, Tokyo does pay more than Osaka for English teachers even though both are huge cities. The rent in Tokyou is also more expensive than that in Osaka. So exported_kiwi has a good rule of thumb!
