| Re: ESL Bookstores in USA None that I know of. Just not enough of a demand. Go to a bigger book store and you will find a bigger variety of education books. Best though to wait til you arrive overseas to teach and buy locally. You surely don't wanna lug over these books as they do get quite heavy. Best bet would be to shop via amazon. |

| Re: ESL Bookstores in USA There is a terrific ESL specialty bookstore in Burlingame, CA, just south of San Francisco. Alta Book Center- click here for their website Alta Book Center - Materials for Teaching and Learning English. They have a fantastic array of books, tapes, and other materials like games and flashcards. If you live near San Francisco, it is worth a visit! They also offer free teachers' workshops. | Re: ESL Bookstores in USA Unfortunately, a new development at Alta Books is that they now only distribute the books and materials that they publish. There is still a wonderful array of useful products! But now they only supply the products published by Alta Books, not books and materials from other publishers. I still recommend looking through their website, as they have many interesting items. |
