Age and qualification Requirement to teach English

Hey, i just wanna know the minimum age and qualification requirements to teach esl in most countries.. All help will be appreciated. Thanks

in general, the minimum age requirements and general qualification requirements vary from country to country. For example, in Taiwan the minimum age requirements for an individual to teach ESL is that you need an undergraduate degree from a university or college in your home country. Minimum age would be at least 22. What country are you interested in?

Thanks a lot for that Phil.. I am currently doing TAFE atm... and I thought of doing this before I go on to do my Undergrad..looks like it's not that possible afterall...... I have no specific countries in mind thou.. Just thought of doing this for the experience and stuff ..

Hey don't mention it. Schools do shy away from candidates that are too young. You may want to consider a summer term or something.

A summer term.. u mean teaching over the summer??? I'm still new to this so yeah. I'm gonna ask at my uni since they have a language school for international students.. thanks a lot for that again Phil. You were a big help

Yes, teaching over the summer. Schools really need teachers over the summer period so you may be in luck. You would probably have to be in the country though first. Not too sure. Just contact some schools or recruiters to find out about this.

Nobody would reallly touch you if you are just out of high school. Sorry bout the bad news...

Do yourself a favour and go to Uni or attend college after high school. So much harder to return back to studies later on in life.
