I don't teach in the JET Scheme, but my best buddy here in Japan does. He is very happy with his school and only teaches Monday thru Friday a few hours throughout the day. He has a sweet job and tells me how he is so happy with it.

His salary is ¥3,600,000 a year with full return airfare on completion of his contract.

He asked for the location on his preference and was lucky to get it. But this isn't guaranteed.
