It's totally different. The geography, customs, pay, opportunities, visa rules, qualifications and so forth are totally different.
Eg:
- Taiwan is a tiny country compared to Germany
- Taiwanese parents prefer their kids to learn from "white" caucasian faces.
- Taiwan offers an ARC (work permit) to native English teachers with a university degree. However in Germany, schools are mainly looking for those with a European passport.
- Schooling system and demand ratio for English teachers is vastly different.
You can't really compare as they are totally different countries.
