Cool Fun Teaching in Korea

How much do Koreans understand my English?

I'm not a ratbag, but I love to have fun at times. A favorite I have when teaching in Korea is riding the public transport system with a fellow native English speaker.

How much do Koreans understand when we speak fast and slang English in public? I think very little!

Some of the topics my friends and I talk about would surely throw us in jail back home or start a brawl with bystanders. Such topics as women and guys, sex, dumb Koreans, dumb bosses, stupid this stupid that and the list goes on... But it's fun and brings me and my mates lots of enjoyment.

We don't mean it in a bad way though, as it's all a sendup of living and teaching in this strange country Korea. I'm just waiting for the day though that someone understands and is bold enough to let me know.

Any English teacher coming to Korea will go crazy after a while, and this is our medicine to chill out and relax! You may find yourself doing the same too!
