Hi Guys,

I went along to the Taiwan Embassy today to sort out a Visa and had a rather enigmatic chat with a girl there. I’m wondering if anyone can add some something meaningful to her cryptic response.

I told her I want to get a 60 day travel visa and if I’m offered work to then extend the visa to a working visa. She told me 'we can't guarantee this'. I was rather hoping for a 'yes' or 'no' answer. Is it that they don't know, haven't decided yet or is it a whimsical choice depending on who I ask the question to? (I dont mean to be facetious)

As I am ready to leave immediately I was wondering if anyone can offer some advice on how to get past this cryptic impasse.
