Gerard is on a distinguished road
Stay away from Supreme Educational Group (Taiwan)

I just want to warn everyone who's planning to use the services of this leech-kind of business to look elsewhere.

The general advice is: Don't use a recruiter or work for chain schools if you can avoid it.

You must know that ALL recruiters in Taiwan take a chunk of your salary every month. The rule is that private and Government schools offer the Agent $70,000-75,000 but you'll receive only $50,000 to 65,000 and in many instances well below that (as Supreme Educational Group has proven to me).

Regarding Supreme Educational Group, where can I start:
  1. Lies and deceit.
  2. Fake documentation showing me how much I was going to earn during my contractual agreement with the school I worked for in Taipei.
  3. Charged for services I shouldn't be charged for
  4. Inability to help me resolve a serious issue I had with my landlord, who in turn was operating in connivance with Supreme Educational Group. Basically the goal was to rip me off and lose my rental bond. Actually I didn't sign a lease with the landlord as they thought I was eventually going to be fired by the school.
  5. Placed in an environment difficult to cope with for a Westerner: difficult public transport access, lack of supermarkets in the area, no restaurants where I could have my regular meals, etc.
Please if you want to enjoy your stay in Taiwan avoid Supreme Educational Group (run by Jurene Su, a Taiwanese and also NZ citizen/permanent resident) otherwise you'll do what I am going to do at this stage: Leave the island disappointed and pissed off.

Goodbye Taiwan!
