| It is very rewarding but less than 1% are ESL students. Most of our students are just trying to get a break in life and deal with the cards that have been delt them. It is always rewarding to see those students leave the area to become something better before returning. These are students who are examples to the rest of them. These students show the others that even though things are rough at home you can still do great things in your life. This past year, I taught World History, Government, Earth Science and Current Events so we spent a lot of time talking about what we can do to be better citizens and people. When students realize they can make a difference in this world you would be amazed at what they can do. They will always rise to the occassion.
Good luck with your teaching in Taiwan,
"Teaching is not something you do, it is something you love!"
