Welcome Scotty!

Korea is the same as Japan, ie. both countries have jobs for English teacher's without experience. However, you would first need to get yourself a university degree if teaching in Korea. Difficult to get a teaching job without a degree.

In both Japan and Korea, you can get yourself a working holiday visa and teach easily enough. You don't need a degree in order to get a working holiday visa.

There is no need to know the Japanese or Korean language when teaching in these countries. You will find that most schools in fact don't want you to speak anything other than English in the classroom.

A Working Holiday Visa in Korea is open to those between 18 and 30 years old and who have a passport from:
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
