Whether you are teaching in Sydney, China, Korea or wherever, those who hold a degree are always going to get the best jobs and best pay. You will just have to settle for the leftovers so to speak.
Did you try going through the Yellow Pages or picking up foreign newspaper and trying to find schools that are targetting non-native English speakers. There is a magazine called Cheers, and the website is cheers.com.au I think. There may be ads in there of language schools you could apply to.
If you don't already, I would suggest a CELTA course or something with a bit of weight behind it. Just keep plugging away and sooner or later you will find a full-time job. Try and find a unique selling point that you can harness to your benefit. All the best! |
