Hi,

I've been working for a language school in Sydney for a week now and I was initially employed on a two-week trial that was likely to be extended to a permanent position. However, I was told by the DOS the other day that the school can't give me a permanent position since I don't have a university degree, which is a requirement for NEAS-accreditation. I really would like to get a permanent job, since I plan to stay in Sydney for some time, and relief teaching is a pain...
What are the prospects for getting a permanent job within an accredited school for qualified teachers who don't have a degree?
What about unaccredited schools? How and where can one find them?
