Employment Contract China

O.k,

I have just been offered a position at a school in China. I have been emailed a contract and appendix with details on it and also a health commitment letter.

It is a public school and it seems to me to look like a standard SAFEA employment contract. All seems to be above board and fine. If I'm happy with everything I am to sign, scan and email back the contract, appendix and health letter, then apparently the school can begin to process my work permit and visa letter.

As this is my first time, I just wanted to check...does this all sound regular and normal ??

I like the idea of everything being organised now, is it common to email these documents back. I guess the thing I'm wondering about is the fact that we don't sign at the same time. (Could they change things like the appendix etc without me knowing)

I have to say the company I have been offered the work through and the school ( I have been talking to the current Foreign teacher) seem very good and up till now I have no problems with how everything is being handled.

Just wondering if others have organised their work before arriving in China and had the same thing? Is this process running as it should ?

Thanks
