As gfell alluded, accent will be the biggest problem. If your wife doesn't have an overly strong accent, then she may be okay.

Seoul itself can be very very competitive, but the outer and country areas are screaming for teachers. I believe that only about 20% of country schools have native speakers.

Don't forget to also with a Masters Degree she can also apply at universities. Also, Hogwans are a good place to try, but be careful of them as some are quite dodgy.

Back to the first point though, you will have to get around Korea's prejudices of colour, race and accent, an unfortunate reality of the country. To put it in perspective, I'm from Australia and the school where I work was originally worried about my accent and a school near mine declined to employ a Thai American because he didn't look like a native English teacher. No equal opportunity laws in this country.

But, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good luck, I hope your wife finds something.
