| Re: Underground jobs in Korea You risk a lot of problems trying to work underground in Korea. The only jobs you may find will be in dodgy hogwans that probably won't pay you well, if at all. The major hogwans and government education system are doing a major crack down on fraudulent degrees now. Teachers have to provide written proff of enrolment at the University where their degree is from. Also the government has brought in new visa rules for the E-2. A person will have to do an interview at the Korean Embassy in their home country before the visa is issued. A heel of a lot of red tape, especially with a fake degree.
My advice, either get a degree then come to Korea and work legally or marry your girlfriend and come in on an F-2 visa and work legally or better still, both.
