Re: Frugal Living

Hear hear!

I arrived in Korea in much the same position (New Years day 2001) - maybe $50 USD all up. A $6 NZD suit I hadda but on lay-by (LOL) ex a salvation army store, 50 cent shoes and about 4-5 shirts from the same store!

Ate absolutely bugger all - street stall kai (food), you name it so long as it was cheap. Just be lucky we weren't born in the Sudan or wherever - THEN y'all can complain about yr situation sure......

Anyhows, had a ball - sure it was tough, but and as you rightly say mate, be friendly and folk's will treat you well.......it ain't bludging, one's situation is one's fkn situation.....all grist for the mill as they say.....

So, absolutely! Nothing ventured nothing gained.....and later, I was more than happy to help out newbs in similar positions - "goes around comes around"

Just do it! All else will follow if ya have the gumption to take a risk or two.....and you will meet a lotta gd people out there who'll help out provided you have a personality etc......

Cheers,
