What it takes... International Schools

Recently I've been hearing people saying that to get employed at an International School, you need to have tonnes of experience and maybe also hold a Masters or gain an honors in something. High GPA, excellent references, the list goes on. Is this true?

There are a lot of International schools worldwide. I think they just run the country's/state they represent curriculum into the schooling system. Is an International School any different to a Private school or a Public school, the way its run and the quality of the education? International schools might cater to expatriates working in that country, but it also admits local students as well wanting to learn English, hence ESL will be involved.

P.S. this may be irrelevent....but i thought i might just put it out there...i am curious! I may be wrong btw....soooo
