A stash of 10 or more resume copies would be an overkill. In fact, even 5 resume copies would be an overkill. Nowadays, resumes are sent via email so that helps a lot. A4 size paper is fine in Japan. Japan operates on the metric scale. Eg: Degrees celsius, centimeters etc.

Gaijin houses will most likely have net access in the common loungeroom. But don't go hogging the PC as other gaijin's most likely will want to use it too.

Some continue staying in the gaijin houses for there whole time in Japan. They are very easy with everything provided. Futon, sheets, pillow, common facilities such as kitchen, laundry etc. They are also great places to make friends.
