Korea has an absolute heap of recruiters all trying very hard to get teachers. As soon as you announce you are in town, they will be all over you. Your major problem will be trying to land the better jobs in town.

Teaching in Korea would have no effect as to boosting your chances in Japan other than giving you teaching experience IN an Asian country. You would be heading to Japan with experience under your belt.

Very general question. Can you be more specific?

Why are you looking at Korea as a stepping stone only? It seems you prefer to teach elsewhere other than Korea.
