| This is going to sound weird I know... Ok, I'm in an odd situation and thought I'd give this a shot. To explain everything I'm going to have to bring readers up to date on this issue so here we go.
A while back a friend and I were working at a school that was absolutely horrendous, lied, cheated, the whole kit and kabang. Obviously I went out looking for a job and found a rather great one. However, I didn't necessarily want to leave my friend behind so after persuading him he eventually came along.
However he felt it necessary to remain there for the 1 month period as sort of a nice gesture(even after I told him that I tried this yet they held my salary back for the month I previously worked). Anyways, he kept telling me he was really interested in management, really thought he'd be great. I assured him he probably would too, etc etc, kinda keeping him in a positive thinking mood.
Then the school offered me the position of manager. This is where it gets kinda stupid as I refused because I used to be a manager in Canada and didn't want to deal with that responcibility. I came to teach not manage anyways.
So I told my friend about it and that I'd back him so long as we were partners rather than boss/employee sorta thing goes; anyways he jumped at the opportunity. I was pretty happy for him and things started to go swell until the other school screwed him. The previous school went into complete overdrive in order to ruin this guy, he was just having a straight of bad luck.
Then when our boss informed him and I that in order to reapply for his visa he would be required a BA degree it seemed that all was lost. The boss came up with the plan to use my degree, have me switch the names etc and then apply as the officials don't check too thoroghly into this.
Ok, here is when you can call me an idiot as I agreed. I'm sorry but I'm a sucker for sob stories and this guy had been my only English friend for a whole year, but anyways, for a while things were going smoothly.
Then just recently out of nowhere he got this whole urge to pull the I'm the boss kinda thing. Now he's changing my schedule to work 2 or sometimes 3 times as many hours as him, I had previously worked classes for him when he was sick or under the weather kinda thing, now he won't return a single favor.
Then just tonight I told him about this, I told him how I really didn't feel it fair to be working so many hours (which just so happens to be more than the other teachers as well) and he straight out said he shouldn't have to work so many hours as he's the manager.
Now I'm a nice guy most times, but this just makes me outright feel like getting payback on him, and I ask you these questions...
Should I go about doing anything against him, if so how? Or should I just leave and look for a new job(which I kinda don't want, I like the job it's great but the hours are getting ridiculous). |
