If you can go on a Working Holiday Visa, then I suggest taking this route, and later getting a Work Visa when required.

I got my Work Visa from an small dispatch company located in Tokyo. They wanted me to teach a 4 month company contract class out in the middle of no-where in Kobe. As they couldn't find a teacher, they asked me and jumped through all the hoops to get my visa. At the time I didn't have a Bachelor's degree.
