very odd VISA info obtained from embassy

Hello all,

I just called the embassy in Australia today with a few visa enquiries.

I was told that I dont HAVE to have a degree to get a working visa (despite it quite very clearly stated on the website!)...and that "it all depends on your employer".

I then asked her about getting a visa within japan, and the thing about having to leave the country. And again, was told that "it all depends on the employer".

She said "it is not a rule of the immigration, it is a rule of employers in Japan".

I find it very odd, because it goes against all the research I have done!

could someone, for sure, tell me that she may have been wrong?????

*confused*
