Yep, welcome to the world of teaching English abroad, and specifically China.
One thing I've learned, we need to band together as foreign teachers to give each other support in such a foreign environment.
I've known awesome colleagues that all have difficulties in one form or another, and it isn't pretty sometimes. It may make you miss home and flare out in anger sometimes.
Support for each other, especially if you're lucky to have four or more fellow foreign teachers, have been a big key to my survival here. I'm sure many feel they can survive on their own, and that's likely true, but supporting each other also prevents schools from taking advantage of foreign teacher by picking one of at a time, or even turning one on another.
