Music Festivals Living Abroad with Music
Just because you are living abroad teaching or studying, doesn't mean that you can't appreciate good music.
I'm aware that many foreigners abroad do suffer from the lack of quality music over the airwaves. The fix for this are rock concerts held for the locals and internet radio. The rock concerts attract budding musicians and tend to comprise half each of of foreigners and locals. The majority of them are free to watch and are held in public parks etc.
For internet radio, I tend to use Yahoo Messenger to listen to a broad range of music genres. Best of all, it is free like radio. Agree the music doesn't have the same high quality coming out of my PC, but I now have the PC attached to a boom box and can hear great sounds. Just have to be careful not to disturb the neighbors. No brick walls in this country!
